Researchers Use a Small Amount of the Same Substance to Heal Food Allergies

Researchers Use a Small Amount of the Same Substance to Cure Food Allergies

There truly is nothing new under the sun.  At times when I read “medical research,” it is often only resurfaced wisdom.  I tend to think it is ‘ego’ at work, to claim your work as “new”.  When it is not new.  The idea of small doses has been in use that we know of for hundreds of years, it is a cornerstone of homeopathic treatment, homeopathy uses infinitesimally small doses.

Isopathy prescribes a remedy made from the causative agent or products of a disease from the same disease or substance. In this research, to treat the food allergies small substances were used of the allergen are used.  Hahnemann spoke of the isopathic method and credits any success due to the simillum, but argues against this approach for various reasons.

Eliminating the Aggravation

This is a brief excerpt as to how tolerance to the allergen is ameliorated.

The starting doses were very small, as little as 1/1000th of a peanut. The doses increased until the children ate the equivalent of up to 15 peanuts a day about 10 months later, and then they stayed on the daily therapy while they were monitored.

The researchers of course suggest that this is a highly refined approach, left to trained professionals.  Read the article below and check out the link to learn more about their work.

Exposure to Peanuts May Build Tolerance to Allergy

The therapy is still experimental, and more research is needed, study says

Doctors may have found an unlikely remedy for some peanut allergies.

Teams at Duke University Medical Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital gave nearly microscopic pieces of peanut to a group of about 30 children with non-life-threatening peanut allergies daily.

After two years, nine kids were still able to tolerate the treatment, and four appeared to be completely allergy-free.

The researchers say this is the first study to show limited exposure can help someone with a food allergy become tolerant of that food. Read more at arkansasmatters.com.

Components of Healthy Food

By Catherine Carter

All food is not the same. Of course nutritional content varies, the quality of the soil the food is grown in, the growing methods, harvesting method. The love and intention of the farmer to grow nourishing crops also contributes to the quality of the food. Part of learning how to detox is learning what to put in the body and what is best avoided.

There has been a subtle shift from food truly being nourishing and life sustaining vs. food looking good. Consumer studies show that shoppers do not like fruits and vegetables with blemishes so into the lab we go, to create food (?) that is blemish free. It may look good, however it doesn’t decay and it is tasteless.

And so we get sucked in, to externals. Form with no content. It looks good but it doesn’t support you living a vibrant life. It may help you to save (?) a few dollars…but how many more dollars are lost if you develop a chronic disease? National health care coverage should begin on the farm. National health care coverage has begin with healers. National health care coverage has to begin with Mom and Dad…and real, healthy, nutritious food.

In your quest for healthier living avoid:

  • Irradiated food
  • Genetically modified food
  • the microwave
  • hormones
  • pesticides
  • refined foods
  • refined flours and grains
  • the meat of factory farmed animals.

Make a start today, to reclaiming your most, vibrant health and well being. Small steps will provide large rewards.

A Healing Method Holds Promise as Antidote to 9/11 Toxicity

There are many who still suffer from the tragic events of 9/11. A natural herbal detox program developed by an Ayurvedic physican shows a promise of relief. The study abstract, below.

Ayurvedic herbal supplements as an antidote to 9/11 toxicity
Dahl JJ, Falk K.

Phoenix House Foundation, New York, New York, USA.

An in-treatment web-based survey was conducted in 2005 with 50 New York World Trade Center rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and area residents and workers who were treated with Ayurvedic herbs for post-9/11 symptoms. The survey documented pretreatment efforts at symptom relief, post-treatment symptom impact, and the context for using the herbal intervention. Herbal treatment was administered and monitored by a private non-profit organization. The natural detoxification and immune-strengthening program consists of 4 herbal supplements developed by an Ayurvedic physician. A minimum 6-month basic program was recommended, but many participants continued to 1 year and longer. All 50 respondents reported high incidence of alleviation of previously intractable symptoms, chiefly respiratory symptoms, fatigue, and depression.

Better Heath – The Easy Body Cleanse

We live in a go, go world. Constant busyness can lead to increased stress, and stress has been identified as a root cause of many illnesses. What to do? An ancient method is to undertake a fast. Fasting has been used to build health for thousands of years. Fasting helps the body to detox. Fasting is also a useful tool to assist one in tuning in to their inner wisdom.

The body is helped by periodically fasting. A fast, or cleanse helps the body to rest. Springtime is a legendary time to fast. The power of springtime is evident all around us. Flowers burst forth, trees full of lush, leafy growth beautify the landscape and grass erupts to the surface. One can smell life, bursting forth all around, in the air. This same energy is flowing in your veins. You can take advantage of this powerful energy by going on a short fast. For optimum timing have your detox coincide with the spring equinox.

It is important to eat clean, healthy, organic foods, fruits and juices while fasting. Eliminate meat, seafood and caffeine. Focus on fresh squeezed juices, fresh vegetables, salads with simple lemon juice dressing, fruit and herbal tea. Eat peacefully. Chew your foods thoroughly.

If you have never fasted before following are some simple, easy fasting, easy detox diets to help you get started.

Eat once a day this allows the body to enjoy a brief rest. A twenty- four hour fast will help you to detach from constant thoughts of eating. Select a day when you can be at home to rest as needed. Fasting is more than not eating it is also a rest from incessant mental chatter and constant doing. Use this time for restoration.

Skip lunch this allows you to eat two meals a day, breakfast and dinner. This is a good way to reduce the amount of food eaten, especially if you find that you eat often. This will help you acclimate your body and mind so that you can fast for longer periods.

Eat every other day which allows you to eat two to three meals and to fast on the next day.

Fast one day a week this might be on the weekend when you can rest or a day where you know you can work quietly.

Three day fast or longer gives the body enough time to begin detoxing. There are a number of approaches to doing a three day or longer fast. A water fast is not recommended for most people. Simply extend your one day fast to three days. Eliminate salt and sugar from the diet, have salad, drink herbal tea (e.g. peppermint). You might find it helpful to eat a raw food diet for your three day fast.

As the body does eliminate stored waste when one fasts’ (detoxes) it is beneficial to go slowly, so that one doesn’t have headaches etc. Avoid fasting if you have a chronic health condition or if your body has been weakened in any way.

Here’s to your best health.

If you’ve fasted before and would like to share your experience, please do. And, if you like this article, please Digg it.
